James Plimpton, Inventor

$48.00

James Plimpton didn’t actually invent roller skates - he made them more stable by doubling the wheels and more maneuverable by making the two axels move independently. He cinched his spot in history by opening the first roller rink in 1866! It started a roller skating craze!

This is a signed archival print on 100% cotton rag paper. The original art was a collage of photographs, printed on drawing paper, and meticulously hand-colored. All images are 6” x 6” on an 8” square.
