The Geisha and the Goldfish

$48.00

The origin of this image is a 18th century Japanese woodcut of a Geisha. In the original there were no goldfish coming out of her sleeves, nor were they swimming next to her in the rain. In fact very little of the original remains except her beautiful face. The writing reads “The Geisha and the Goldfish”.

This is a signed archival print on 100% cotton rag paper. The original art was a collage of photographs, printed on drawing paper, and meticulously hand-colored. All images are 6” x 6” on an 8” square.
